Cllr Duncan, who does volunteer work with the Citizens Advice Bureau said: “Its great that the CAB has been awarded the contract to provide debt advice.
“The CAB provides a valuable advice and advocacy service to the general public and I am very pleased that they will be able to provide further services to the public. The funding will help provide one-on-one advice to people that would not normally have access to this type of resource.
“Debt can be such a devastating problem for people, so I am very glad that this funding has been allocated to help offer advice on this matter.”
