Alliance Party General Secretary and North Down candidate, Stephen Farry, has stated that the Alliance Party will be making a special appeal to young voters through a special targeted election address.
Stephen Farry stated:
“As a younger candidate, I can appreciate that young people have different concerns and priorities from the rest of the population. Top of the agenda are issues such as the abolition of tuition fees, the level of wages, and access to education and training opportunities.
“The traditional divisions in Northern Ireland have little relevance to us. We have friends from all sections of the community, and don’t really care what background they have. But all too often, sectarianism and racism try to impose barriers.
“Alliance has now issued thousands of special election addresses that are being posted to young people within our six target constituencies.
“We will be focusing upon the issues that matter most to young people, and encouraging young people to come out and vote. Most of all, it is our future.”
